Ambassador Brun, recently appointed and having presented his credentials to President Michael D. Higgins in October, visited Kverneland Group Ireland which was a recognition of Kverneland’s proud Norwegian heritage and the company’s ongoing contributions to agriculture in Ireland.
The day began with a warm welcome from Philip English, Managing Director of Kverneland Group Ireland, who led a presentation outlining Kverneland’s history, its innovative advancements in agricultural machinery, and its commitment to supporting farmers in Ireland and beyond.
To mark the occasion, Philip presented Ambassador Brun with two gifts:
A model Kverneland plough, symbolizing the company’s deep agricultural roots and its role as a pioneer in modern farming technology.
A specially made Kverneland-branded GAA Gaelic jersey, representing Ireland’s native sport and reflecting shared values of teamwork, dedication, and community that resonate strongly with both the GAA and Kverneland.
Following the presentation, the Ambassador and his team were given a tour of the yard, where they explored Kverneland’s cutting-edge machinery and facilities.
The visit concluded with a celebration of Norwegian themes. The Norwegian flag was raised at the entrance, alongside Kverneland’s brand flags, and the team gathered for a Norwegian-themed cake to commemorate the special occasion.
Kverneland Group Ireland extends its sincere gratitude to Ambassador Brun and Ms. Kjensli for their visit.
