A Broad Portfolio for Every Crop and Need
Kverneland Group Soest GmbH develops and manufactures solutions that meet the demands of modern and specialised crop production.
- Monopill, the industry benchmark for precision sowing of sugar beet, suitable also for rape seeds and other fine seeds, offering unmatched singulation and spacing precision.
- Unicorn, a robust precision drill for sugar beet, rape seeds and similar crops in mulch or conventional conditions.
- Miniair Nova, a pneumatic precision drill tailored for vegetables and delicate fine seeds.
- Optima, the flagship pneumatic precision drill for maize, sunflower, and various crops, available with advanced ISOBUS control and section management. The Optima is available with vacuum HD-II and high-speed SX sowing units.
“Precision seeding is the gold standard in sowing technology – and we are proud to have delivered powerful, high-precision solutions to farmers for 40 years,” says Constantin Homann, Product Manager Precision Seed Drills, Kverneland Group Soest GmbH. “A historic innovation came in 1993 with the introduction of the electric drive for the precision drill Unicorn - a milestone for the future of precision farming and the pre-requisite for future ISOBUS features.”
Precision Farming Driving the Future of Sustainable Farming
Listening to farmers’ needs, Kverneland Group Soest GmbH has always been driven by commitment to precision and sustainability.
Among its latest innovations is PUDAMA (Precise Fertiliser Spot Application in Maize), a patented technology that synchronizes seed placement with exact fertiliser deposits at high speeds. Each seed receives a precisely located fertiliser depot, reducing starter fertiliser use by up to 25% while maintaining 100% yield. This not only enhances nutrient efficiency but also protects the environment.
Complementing this is a full suite of ISOBUS-compatible smart farming solutions including:
- GEOCONTROL, GEOSEED, and GEOFORCE: features of precision farming that allow precise seed and fertiliser placement, automatic section control, variable rate application, and efficient pressure control which are all fully ISOBUS-compatible and agronomically optimized.
Looking ahead
"The demands on precision seed drilling continue to rise – key topics include automation, data connectivity, and smart farming," emphasizes Constantin Homann. "Kverneland will continue to dedicate itself to advancing technology – for greater efficiency, sustainability, and ease of use in the field."
