The Kverneland and Vicon brands were both strongly represented at the recent FTMTA farm machinery show in Punchestown, Co. Kildare. Luckily most of the machines were placed indoors as the weather outside was quiet cold and wet for the three days. However this did not deter the crowds from coming as almost 18,000 people turned up over the three days making it the highest attendance on record.
Kverneland Group Ireland exhibited products from the grass, tillage and feeding range while on the Vicon stand was a selection of fertiliser spreaders and plain mowers. The show was used to launch a national competition which gives readers of the Irish Farmers Journal the chance to win a free TA3228 mounted MoCo, this certainly drew the crowds and the lucky winner will be announced in March.
The Vicon RO-EDW GEOSPREAD was awarded a Three Star Award for product innovation and for product that is new in Ireland. The judging panel was made up of leading agri journalists, farmers and contractors, commenting on the award, Vicon Product Manager Paraic McCarthy feels that this will greatly help Vicon with the introduction of the GEOSPREAD system in Ireland as customers will recognise the many unique features that it offers in terms of accuracy, efficiency and cost saving.
An added attraction on the Kverneland stand was the merchandise and parts promotion with almost all stocks of clothing and gifts sold out by Saturday evening. This ensured the Kverneland logo was spotted at all corners of the event arena!
