The concept of the event was that visitors would get to ‘See, Feel and Believe’ meaning hands on training was provided to sales and service personnel who could fully appreciate and understand the increasing levels of technology that is associated with cropcare equipment. The day was divided between 5 different work stations including, fertiliser spreaders, trailed sprayers, mounted sprayers, factory tour and finally a presentation on Kvernelands unique iM Farming concept.
Highlight of the spreader workshop was the Vicon RO-EDW weigh cell spreader which was equipped with GEOSPREAD which allows fully automatic section control at 2 metre intervals as well the possibility to apply fertilisers at a variable rate according to crop yield and soil type. Demonstrations of this machine will soon be taking place in Ireland so you will have the opportunity to see the benefits for yourself.
The new spreader testing hall at Nieuw Vennep has been developed based on the revolutionary CEMIB 3 dimensional measuring principle. A greater number of fertilisers will now be able to be tested using the most accurate and efficient method possible which in turn will guarantee precise application will be achieved at on farm level and cost savings for the farmer.
One of the main ambitions of the event was to convey the message that Kverneland is leading the market when it comes to ISOBUS technology. The new Tellus screen allows you to control all ISOBUS implements with just one terminal. Combined with Isomatch GEOCONTROL and Isomatch Inline it provides automatic section control, variable rate application and task management and documentation. For the operator it means ease and comfort at work, cost savings of up to 15% and the capability to continue working at night.
